After a brief career in banking, I returned to education and competed a PGCE at University of Ulster Coleraine. My teaching philosophy is 'everyone can achieve'. We all have potential, and it is the role of a teacher to foster enthusiasm in order for students to explore how far they can go academically and emotionally. Outside the classroom I have a keen interest in sport, especially soccer and Gaelic games. Having lived in Barcelona for the past 4 years, my love of Derry City has baffled and bemused the locals who don't recognise the glory in a mid table League of Ireland season and a decent cup run! It will be a wrench for me to leave the Barcelona Gaels GAA club, but I look forward to trying to fight Fr Time by togging out for the Moscow Shamrocks when I move to Russia. I am excited to start at ISM because it will give me the opportunity to improve my Russian language skills, and it means I will be in Moscow for the centenary of the 1917 Revolutions.
