Field Trips

Educational visits are an essential part of pupils' experience at The International School of Moscow. The school has carefully developed a programme of educational trips that blend educational objectives, adventure and fun.

The school seeks to make pupils actively aware of their environment and to use the opportunities offered by its location to enhance their education. Educational excursions provide the opportunity to learn more about the world around us and provide pupils with the opportunity to develop their group and social skills in different settings.

All pupils including those in the Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and 2 go on local excursions for the day, usually relating to an aspect of the curriculum being covered.

The school offers additional optional opportunities such as ski breaks for the older children.  From Year 5 upwards we offer and encourage all students to take part in Residential Educational Trips.

ISM offers pupils a balanced programme of residential trips including:

United Kingdom: Cultural and Outdoor Education in Scotland

Middle East: Cultural and Outward Bounds trip to Oman

Africa: Community support project and Safari in Tanzania

Europe- skiing, cultural trips to Paris and kayaking in the Ardeche.

Within Russia- cultural trip to Nizhny Novgorod and adventure expeditions to Lake Baikal.

We aim to broaden our minds and understanding of the world by visiting places within and beyond Russia.
