Terry Fox Run
On the chilly morning of 12th April 1980, Terry Fox dipped his right prosthetic leg into the Atlantic Ocean and set out on his marathon run across Canada. Terry Fox never reached the destination point, but he had raised $1.7 million by the time he was forced to abandon the marathon, the money he then donated for cancer research.
The ISM Rosinka lap was approximately 350 metres long around the school grounds. Many children came dressed up as their favourite superheroes. The playground was filled with many different colours and cheerful shouts of children and parents.
We are proud to be a part of this global event and to be able to contribute our modest donations for a noble cause. The sponsorship money will go directly to the Terry Fox Foundation. Stay tuned - more charity events to follow!
